How do I download my eBooks?

Some eBooks are available to download in either iBooks format or Kindle format. To download your eBook in either format, follow these steps:

  1. Visit your library – Using the device on which you intend to view the eBook, log-in to your library or use the link provided in the email you received confirming your purchase. (If you are trying to download or view Practising the Piano, log in to your Informance library here.)
  2. Select an eBook - Find the eBook that you wish to read on your device and click ‘Download’. If your eBook does not have a download button then it is not yet available in iBooks or Kindle format and is only readable in the web browser. Clicking 'download' will take you to a page where you can choose the format you require. Select the format you would like to download.
  3. Download - A new window in your browser will open and your eBook should start downloading.   Since many of our eBooks are full of images, videos and illustrations, you may have to wait for a few minutes for the eBook to download. Keep this window open to make sure that you do not interrupt the download. If you’re using iPad, the small wheel on the top left hand corner of the screen spinning confirms that the download is taking place.
  4. Read - When the download is complete, an option will appear to open the eBook in the relevant app. Select this link and you will be taken to the app where your eBook will open automatically.
